    In their own words

2,960 Hansard interventions on file. These are the words said in the House, not a summary. Private conversations are not collected and are not invented.

I'm going to go to the Fuels Association in a second, but since you mentioned the carve-out in the Alberta MOU, it seems to me—and I wonder what you think about this—this government has been told for years by proponents and utility companies concerned about providing affordable,…Debate · 2026-06-16

    Where they stand

Policy positions are scored only from this member's stored House words and, when it is on file, their own public website. Wikipedia and other encyclopedias may supply details such as a birth date, education or work history, and each of those details is labelled with its source, but they are never used to score a position. Members whose only sources are encyclopedias have no scored positions.

A stored score on 5 of 14 topics. Each row names the end of that topic’s axis the stored words reached, and the sentence the score rests on.

    Defence

    Higher spending and more capability

The other end of this axis: Restrain spending and deployments

Thanks armed forces and backs robust effort against ISIL.

Canada should continue to provide that support to the best of our abilities as our allies have asked. I by no means think that the brave and self-sacrificing efforts of members of the Canadian Armed Forces are a token.

    Federalism

    Provinces lead

The other end of this axis: Ottawa leads

Excerpts repeatedly state Ottawa is too distant and expensive, urge the federal government to get out of the way, and criticize federal overreach in favor of provincial and local priorities.

The federal government in Ottawa is very far away, very expensive and very slow to respond. It does not get the realities or the priorities of prairie life, and the very best way the federal government can help the Prairies to develop and diversify their economies, to create jobs and to reduce emissions is to get out of the way. We are already doing it.

    Fiscal policy

    Lower taxes and tighter spending

The other end of this axis: Higher taxes and public spending

Calls for cutting multiple taxes and ending deficits repeatedly.

Conservatives are providing real solutions to cut food costs like cutting the Liberal food packaging tax, the Liberal fuel standard that adds 17 cents per litre of gas, the federal industrial carbon tax, and ending inflationary Liberal deficits. Only Canada’s Conservatives will stop hidden Liberal taxes on food for an affordable life.

    Labour

    More flexibility for employers

The other end of this axis: Stronger unions and standards

Opposes payroll tax hikes on small businesses.

Small business owners across Lakeland oppose this expansion, because it is yet another tax hike. Whether it is an increase in employment insurance premiums, a carbon tax, or the proposed CPP hike, families and businesses in Lakeland cannot afford the Liberals' agenda.

    Public safety

    Enforcement and sentencing

The other end of this axis: Prevention and restraint

Supports life means life sentencing and rural crime study.

Speaker, I wholeheartedly support my colleague's initiative about life means life sentencing. I would like to share with my colleagues why I support the life means life act.
