      In their own words

3,192 Hansard interventions on file. These are the words said in the House, not a summary. Private conversations are not collected and are not invented.

Mr. Speaker, it is rare for me to agree with my Conservative colleagues, but I do agree with them on one point. There is appalling ineffectiveness within the government. Allow me give an example. We have just come through an election campaign in Chicoutimi—Le Fjord, where it was…Government Orders — Building Canada Strong Act · 2026-09-24

      Where they stand

Policy positions are scored only from this member's stored House words and, when it is on file, their own public website. Wikipedia and other encyclopedias may supply details such as a birth date, education or work history, and each of those details is labelled with its source, but they are never used to score a position. Members whose only sources are encyclopedias have no scored positions.

A stored score on 7 of 14 topics. Each row names the end of that topic’s axis the stored words reached, and the sentence the score rests on.

      Agriculture

      Defend supply management

The other end of this axis: Liberalize supply management

Repeatedly criticizes breaches to supply management in trade deals and calls for protection of the system.

The second is supply management, which has been compromised repeatedly. When the Conservatives negotiated the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, they severely weakened supply management.

      Climate

      Faster fossil phase-down

The other end of this axis: Slower phase-down, production first

Criticizes fossil fuel support and calls for quicker transition away from oil and gas.

The only economic sector aligned with the fight against climate change is the forestry sector. There is nothing in the throne speech about the forestry sector.

      Federalism

      Provinces lead

The other end of this axis: Ottawa leads

Advocates for Quebec self-government and application of provincial laws over federal authority.

In my opinion, this bill would be a way for Quebec to be the master of its own house when it comes to the environment. The privileges of an airport developer would therefore cease to take precedence over the provisions of the Quebec Act Respecting the Preservation of Agricultural Land and Agricultural Activities or the municipal bylaws.

      Foreign affairs

      Assertive alliances and sanctions

The other end of this axis: Alliance restraint

Supports stronger measures against China over Uighur genocide and higher refugee resettlement.

It goes without saying that the Bloc Québécois will vote in favour of all measures seeking to protect Uighurs and other Turkic Muslims in China by resettling them in Canada.

      Health

      Expand public coverage

The other end of this axis: More private delivery

Supports higher federal health transfers to strengthen public system.

Health care funding in Canada is an absolute train wreck. I want to point out that fiscal imbalance is a defining characteristic of health care funding.

      Immigration

      Lower intake

The other end of this axis: Higher permanent intake

Criticizes record-high permanent and temporary immigration levels and calls for reduced targets.

It is true that he is setting fires, but is he really trying to put them out? Is he lowering permanent immigration targets? No, he is not. Is he spreading out the intake of asylum seekers among the provinces, to give Quebec some relief? No, he is not.

      Labour

      Stronger unions and standards

The other end of this axis: More flexibility for employers

Defends workers in aluminum and other sectors against trade deal harms.

How can the government say it is defending middle-class workers when it is putting Saguenay—Lac-Saint-Jean aluminum workers at risk?
