In their own words
3,195 Hansard interventions on file. These are the words said in the House, not a summary. Private conversations are not collected and are not invented.
Mr. Speaker, under the Liberal government, Canada has seen an explosion in crime. The Liberals' soft-on crime policies have allowed hardened, violent criminals out on bail and house arrest. I encounter off-duty RCMP officers who tell me it is so bad that the drug dealers they arr…Statements by Members — Public Safety · 2026-09-25
Where they stand
Policy positions are scored only from this member's stored House words and, when it is on file, their own public website. Wikipedia and other encyclopedias may supply details such as a birth date, education or work history, and each of those details is labelled with its source, but they are never used to score a position. Members whose only sources are encyclopedias have no scored positions.
A stored score on 7 of 14 topics. Each row names the end of that topic’s axis the stored words reached, and the sentence the score rests on.
Climate
Slower phase-down, production first
The other end of this axis: Faster fossil phase-down
Excerpts repeat criticism of carbon tax and support for natural gas production and exports over taxes.
Canada's environmentally responsible natural gas can provide the low-carbon intensity to power India's economic expansion. It will also provide the clean, reliable fuel that will ensure poor families have healthier air in their homes.Source of that line
Energy
Expand production and export
The other end of this axis: Restrict new oil and gas
Excerpts repeat opposition to restrictions on oil and gas and calls to expand exports and pipelines.
This legislation is yet another blatant attack on Canada's energy sector, along with all the high-paying and high-quality jobs that go with it. The current government can talk about balancing the environment and the economy, but this proposed legislation is not balanced, and it is a direct threat to the viability of Canada's energy sector.Source of that line
Federalism
Provinces lead
The other end of this axis: Ottawa leads
Criticizes federal expansion into provincial areas like upstream emissions and impact assessments that delay projects.
That is traditionally a provincial area of jurisdiction but now that that's been included in the NEB, are we not creating more regulations? And what is the impact of those increased regulations on our energy sector?Source of that line
Fiscal policy
Lower taxes and tighter spending
The other end of this axis: Higher taxes and public spending
Excerpts criticize deficits and tax hikes while favoring spending restraint and growth through energy.
I would like to see the government start trimming these deficits. However, the Liberals cannot seem to kick the habit of spending more than they take in, even with significant tax hikes on small businesses.Source of that line
Foreign affairs
Assertive alliances and sanctions
The other end of this axis: Alliance restraint
Calls for holding Iran accountable, supporting Israel and taking strong action against human rights violators and war criminals.
First and foremost, I would like to rise today to declare that I will always stand by and support the State of Israel, the homeland of the Jewish people and also home to people of many faiths and nations. I am proud to live in a country and serve in a parliament that stands as a steadfast ally to our friend and ally, Israel.Source of that line
Public safety
Enforcement and sentencing
The other end of this axis: Prevention and restraint
Excerpts support bail reform and criticize soft-on-crime policies.

Trade
Deeper continental integration
The other end of this axis: Diversify away from one partner
Focuses on strengthening trade ties with the United States and Mexico through USMCA and energy exports.
With that strong mandate, I come to speak before this House on an issue that is of great importance to the people of my riding: our relationship with our largest trading partners, the United States and Mexico. Sturgeon River—Parkland is composed of the counties of Sturgeon, Parkland and Lac Ste.Source of that line
